UPDATES & NEWS for West Palm Beach-Lake Worth-Inverness June 2007 PMSA - City of West Palm Beach: . An employee that had been hired with the understanding that he had outside interests was terminated for refusing to withdraw from those outside interests. Interestingly, the PMSA has become aware that some high-ranking management officials who initiated this termination have had him perform work for relatives and themselves during work time. If true, what a debacle.
PEU - City of Lake Worth: . An employee who was called as a witness on behalf of the City was refused reimbursement for meals. Discussions with the City by PEU appear to be bearing fruit and it appears the PEU Member will be reimbursed.. A member who entered the "drop" plan based on erroneous assumptions provided by the City is challenging the assumptions through the PMSA.. Three PEU members who were promoted, and then involuntarily demoted with loss inpay, have the PEU intervening on their behalf. The union was never notified of this action and the demotions were not disciplinary .
